Banish bad food habits with Shop Swap
Health issues such as obesity, stress and fatigue might be self-perpetuating, as Brits exacerbate the problem by getting into bad habits with food. Nutritionist Jeannette Jackson believes people buy the same food each week to speed up shopping.
In a new TV show, Mrs Jackson takes two families to the supermarket to break their poor health habits.
Shop Swap will air on Body in Balance, a lifestyle channel on Sky 275.
Mrs Jackson’s task is to find two families with very different diets and persuade them to swap their shopping trolleys to see what they can do with each other’s weekly groceries.
The programme includes healthy eating recipes and information about using nutrition to tackle a range of health issues.
For example, look out for tips on how to choose in-season vegetables, how to cook unusual foods like quinoa and how to make sure your family gets all the vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy diet.
