Steak and gin – what a capital idea for a night out. A new steakhouse and gin bar, Gillray’s, is set to launch at the five-star London Marriott Hotel County Hall. A team of 'Steak Chefs' promise the ultimate dining experience featuring the very best of English food and produce, including Duke of Devonshire 35-day Dry Aged steak and the speciality 1000g Bull’s Head. The steak experts, Ross Forder, Tejas Ranadive and Sanjay Jadhav, bring together a wealth of culinary experience from around the world.

The bar specialises in gin infusion cocktails and the interior design is based on 18th century famed English caricaturist James Gillray. Gillray’s will also be offering a Cocktail Chronology, charting the history of cocktails dating back to the time of James Gillray.

“We’ve heard a lot of rhetoric – particularly from Hollywood’s celeb chefs – over the last few months about how the Steakhouse was invented in America and is therefore intrinsically superior,” said General Manager Theresa Maw. “They’ve set the bar pretty high – but we think we can jump over it.”
