Chocolate Week Is Back

Next week is a dream for chocolate lovers everywhere as the UK celebrates the seventh annual Chocolate Week.

Over 350 events will take place around the UK, culminating in Chocolate Unwrapped, taking place at Vinopolis in London over October 15/16th.

Over 4,000 visitors will visit the event, which has 40 different exhibitors from some of the best chocolate makers from France, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Holland and Germany, as well as top British chocolatiers.

Visitors will be able to view chocolate art, meet the makers, listen to talks and demonstrations and most importantly taste the best chocolate there is out there.
In the build up to Chocolate Unwrapped there will also be a range of talks, tastings and samplings up and down the country as well as new launches, chocolate meals and cocktails.

Some of the highlights include one of the UK’s top chocolatiers, Paul a Young, collaborating with renowned fusion chef Peter Gordon to create a 6-course chocolate dinner at Providores on Monday 10th & Friday 14th October.

Another top chef – Jason Atherton – is also getting involved with a chocolate tasting at Harvey Nichols, Knightbridge as launching an exclusive chocolate desert at Pollen Street Social.

Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry, Baking Made Easy’s Lorraine Pascale and Masterchef judge Gregg Wallace are also set to hold a range of events around the country.

While Thorntons will be giving a chocolate smile to anyone who visits their shops during the week.
